【Event Preview】: Training Sessions on AIGC Application and Project Design are Coming!

To assist participants in completing their competition entries with high quality, the organizing committee will hold a series of online training and guidance sessions from May 15 to 26, 2024, including training sessions on AIGC application, for higher education and vocational education track  and for K12 and enterprise track. Competition mentors and relevant experts will provide professional trainings and guidance on AIGC tools, answer questions related to the content and direction of participants’ works, and invite outstanding participants from previous competitions to share their experiences and insights, striving to ensure that every participant benefits and reaches new heights of creation.

Activity One: Training Session on AIGC Application

Time: May 15-17, 2024

Participants: Open to all participants, sign up to join

Language: English

Introduction: The training session on AIGC application will be conducted over three days, inviting industry experts to provide in-depth explanations of AIGC tools. Through a process of training, practice, and Q&A, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the application principles of AIGC, master the use of AIGC tools, and experience the application of AIGC in classic scenarios. This will help participants fully leverage the advantages of AIGC technology in their project design, enhancing the efficiency and quality of their project, and providing strong support for achieving excellent results in the competition.

Arrangement:

1. Registration: Participants should first register as users on the Moodle platform (https://learn-tn.com/moodle/), then fill out the online registration form (https://www.wjx.cn/vm/YRYVe8S.aspx) to submit basic information, based on the submitted information, the instructor will add the participant to the training course in the Moodle platform, and the individual will be recognized as a successful participant when he/she is successfully enrolled in the “AIGC master course for design and learning” course on the Moodle platform.

2.Notes: This training session will be conducted online. Participants should participate in centralized lectures and guidance via ZOOM (limited to 300 people), access teaching arrangements and learning resources, and submit exercise materials through the Moodle platform. It is recommended that participants complete the three-day training session, especially the practice sessions, to achieve good learning outcomes. Those who cannot participate in real-time due to special reasons can choose to watch the recorded training videos after the event.

Activity Two: Training Session for Higher Education and Vocational Education Track

Participants: Participants in the higher education track or vocational education track.

Introduction: The project guidance sessions on higher education and vocational education track will be conducted in both Chinese and English, aiming to provide precise project guidance to global competitors. The event will invite senior mentors of the competition to provide targeted optimization suggestions for challenges and problems encountered by each team in their projects. In addition, it will invite outstanding representatives from previous competitions to share their project design experiences and insights, helping participants to achieve outstanding results in the competition.

Arrangement:

1. Application for Mentoring: The deadline for application is May 16, 18:00:00 (GMT+8). Participating teams should send their project introduction PPT (including project name, introduction, consultation questions (no more than 3), presenter’s name and university, team name and members, etc.), along with other supporting documents (such as project design reports), to the official email 【d4fe@bnu.edu.cn】. The email subject should be titled ” Application for (Chinese/English) Project Guidance Session on Higher Education and Vocational Education + [Team Name] + [Presenter’s Name].”

2. Participation Notification: By May 19. The organizing committee will notify the selected teams by email or phone, based on the application situations, approximately 8-10 projects will be chosen for one-on-one guidance at each session.

3. Presentation and Guidance: Scheduled for May 20-26 (specific time to be announced), selected teams will need to prepare a presentation of no more than 5 minutes based on the submitted PPT and other materials for display and discussion at the guidance session. Teams that were not selected or did not apply are welcome to join as observers. The meeting link will be released on the official website of the competition and the competition Wechat group next week, and will be sent to all participants via email.

Activity Three: Training Session for K12 and Enterprise Track

Participants: Participants in the K12 track and enterprise track.

Introduction: The training session for K12 and enterprise track will invite experts to provide targeted guidance for participants, and invite representatives from previous competitions to share excellent case studies, providing inspiration and ideas for participants.

Arrangement:

1. Application for Mentoring: The deadline for application is May 16, 18:00:00 (GMT+8). Participants should send their case-study collection documents, with no more than 3 consultation questions, presenter’s name, and institution, etc., to the official email【d4fe@bnu.edu.cn】. The email subject should be named “Application for Training Session for K12 and Enterprise Track + [Presenter’s Name].”

2. Participation Notification: By May 19. The organizing committee will notify the selected participants by email or phone, based on the application situations, approximately 8-10 cases will be chosen for one-on-one guidance at each session.

3. Presentation and Guidance: Scheduled for May 20-26 (specific time to be announced), selected participants will need to prepare a PPT presentation of no more than 5 minutes based on the case collection documents for display and discussion at the guidance session.
