Professor Ronghuai Huang, Co-Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University invited to visit Thailand and participate in 2024 the International Conference on Nation-Building

rom June 26th to 27th, 2024, Professor Ronghuai Huang, Co-Dean of Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, was invited to visit Bangkok, Thailand, to attend 2024 the International Conference on Nation-Building (ICNB 2024) and other academic activities. He also visited North Bangkok University (NBU) and Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC) in northern Bangkok.

On June 26th, Co-Dean Ronghuai Huang attended the ICNB 2024, hosted by the Nation-Building Institute International (NBII). During the international roundtable session, Professor Ronghuai Huang joined renowned international experts from the fields of politics, economics, artificial intelligence, and education to discuss topics such as “Shaping a Fair Future: Understanding Future Trends to Achieve Equitable Nation-Building”. Professor Huang shared a report titled “Promoting the key competencies of higher education students for building shared futures in the intelligent era”. He stated that in an era of rapid knowledge updates and frequent technological iterations, cultivating these key competencies in students is particularly important. The comprehensive development of key competencies will help students adapt to the increasingly complex and changing challenges of the future, positively contributing to social progress and development.

On June 27, at the invitation of Dr. Pattama Roopsuwankun, Senior Vice President of North Bangkok University (NBU), Dean Huang and his delegation visited NBU and Siam Business Administration and Technology College (SBAC). The delegation engaged in in-depth academic discussions and international exchanges with Dr. Issariya Woraphiphat, President of Siam Business Administration Technological College, on the topic of AI empowering education and teaching reform. Both universities established project collaborations with Chinese institutions to promote innovation and academic research in education and teaching for both sides.
