Introduction:
A high-quality teaching workforce is the foundation of sustainable educational development. The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence technologies, with the emergence of large models that are increasingly integrated into educational teaching, has a significant impact on the professional literacy and capabilities of teachers. GAI, LLM, general large models, and deep learning algorithms, are they empowering or disrupting teachers? How should the training objectives of teachers of the future be adjusted? How should teacher development confront these challenges? These questions of the times are widely concerned. The future has arrived, and how to prepare teachers for the intelligent era is crucial to the well-being of teachers, the implementation of the strategy for a strong educational nation, and the rise and fall of national and ethnic education. This forum will explore the following topics:
• The challenges generative Al poses to the professional capabilities of teachers.
• The pathways and methods for AI to empower the high-quality training of pre-service teachers.
• The paths, models, and methods for smart educational research to promote teacher development.
